How to write the Nirvana Letter
Choose a moment when you are feeling relaxed and creative so that you can use your imagination to write a letter someone you totally trust e.g. your partner or best friend.
Write your letter from the vantage point of a number of years in the future, e.g where you are eighty years old.
Imagine that from there, you are looking back to the present and in the interim you have lived your perfect life.
Make sure you keep this perfection within the bounds of reality – e.g. if you have made substantial amounts of money, you have achieved this through your own personal endeavours, not by winning the lottery or receiving an inheritance from a fairy Godmother.
Start your letter by describing where you find yourself as you write and the date in the future that you are writing it from.
Then, as if counting backwards to the present, describe the events that have led you to where you are.
Look back over your life to the present date, describe the events that have led you to where you are, the major milestones that you see on the way and what you dared to dream to make it happen.
