FAQ

your questions, my answers

HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED COACHING?

In my experience, it’s not a question of knowing or not knowing. It’s not a question of needing or not needing. It’s a question of being open to it.

The Financial Times recently described Coaching as a pragmatic tool in every committed leaders’ toolkit.

So if you have a real commitment to being the best you can be - in as broad or narrow a sense that that is relevant to you - and you are curious to explore more, then that’s all you need. We can work the rest out together.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IF I WORK WITH YOU?

Book in for a complimentary chemistry session to find out!

On the one hand, my clients tell me that I ask powerful and challenging questions, that sometimes make them feel uncomfortable.

They also say that coaching with me is immensely useful, highly productive, commercially impactful, frequently life-changing and always carried out with kindness and compassion.

If you would like to speak to an (ex) client directly, then let me know and I will put you in touch!

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COACHING AND THERAPY?

There’s a big difference.

Think of it this way, if therapy is all about pulling up the weeds, then coaching is helping the flowers to bloom!

Therapy is retrospective and focuses on exploring your past.

Coaching is anchored in the present and is focused on you finding your own answers to making your present and future a more fulfilling place to be.

how do i choose a coach?

I recommend that speak to a few before you make your choice. Some questions to consider…

  • Do you trust them?

  • Do you get a sense that they are being real with you?

  • Do they have the right balance of experience

  • Could be your biggest champion AND best challenger?

  • Who do they like to coach?

  • Who do they not like to coach?

  • Do they have a coach themselves?

  • What’s their attitude to their own self development?

  • What do they think the most important aspect to choosing a coach is?
